LVT Annual Membership Meeting, June 20, 2009   - Tarrytown, May 30, 2009         NEW

This year’s Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the Tarrytown Warner Library. All members are encouraged to attend.

There will be an in-service workshop beginning at 10:00 AM, with a BEST Plus test demonstration, lead by Cristina Bloise and Debra Portnoy. The Board of Directors will meet at 12:00 noon following the annual meeting, and any member interested is invited to attend.

Volunteers needed

Interested in becoming a Literacy Volunteer? The first step is to enroll in a tutor training workshop held on six Saturday mornings in the spring or fall. Upon completing the workshop, you will be matched with a student from our waiting list. You will be able to tutor that student in our well-equipped tutoring center at the Warner Library, usually for two hours each week.
