Spring 2012 ESL Tutor Training Workshop       NEW

The Literacy Volunteers of the Tarrytowns will offer an 18 hour ESL Tutor Training Workshop at Warner Library, starting Saturday February 25, 2012, at 9:00AM. Now is the time to register!

• Saturday workshop:
  February 25; March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 2012 — 9:00 AM to 12 Noon

A materials fee of $25.00 is collected at the first meeting to cover the cost of a textbook and other materials given to students during the course of the workshop. There are no further expenses or dues. To register, or to request additional information, please fill the online volunteer application form. Volunteers needed

Interested in becoming a Literacy Volunteer? The first step is to enroll in a tutor training workshop held on six Saturday mornings in the spring or fall. Upon completing the workshop, you will be matched with a student from our waiting list. You will be able to tutor that student in our well-equipped tutoring center at the Warner Library, usually for two hours each week.
