Accessibility

Literacy Volunteers of the Tarrytowns (LVT) recognizes the importance of making its web site accessible and easy to use for users with disabilities or limited language proficiency.

Our web site has been organized in a logical and easy to follow manner, and web page layout has been kept simple and uncluttered, in an easy to read font.

Computer and web browser requirements

This web site is best viewed on a computer screen with at least 800 x 600 pixel screen resolution, and with a web browser that supports JavaScript and cookies, with both enabled.

The web site has been tested with the following popular web browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or better;
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or better; and
  • Netscape Navigator 4.1 or better.

Font size

If your computer screen is set to a very large resolution (e.g., 1600 x 1200), you may find the font small to read. Some browsers support automatic resizing of the font. On the Mozilla Firefox web browser you may use the menu command  View-TextSize-Increase  to increase the font size.

Assistive technologies

If you use an assistive technology, such as a Braille reader or a text-to-speech screen reader, and the format of any material on our web site interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact us for assistance.

Literacy Volunteers of the Tarrytowns is committed to providing access to our web site for individuals with disabilities.
